SANDHILLS SCORE is a chapter of SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business”, a nonprofit association comprised of 12,400 volunteer business counselors throughout the U.S. and its territories. There are 364 SCORE chapters in urban, suburban and rural communities. SCORE members are trained to serve as counselors, advisors and mentors to aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners. These services are confidential and offered at no fee as a community service. SCORE was formed in 1964 and nearly 8.5 million Americans have utilized SCORE services.
Who are we?
SANDHILLS SCORE is composed of experienced businessmen and women from throughout the Sandhills who volunteer their time, at no cost, to assist entrepreneurs with business start-up, as well as operational small businesses in the area. We are both retired and active business people who have significant experience in the ownership, operation and/or management of both small and large businesses in many fields. Our members are committed to small business and donate their time and expertise to provide counseling and mentoring to men and women who wish to start businesses or build existing businesses. We believe in the mantra: “learn – earn – return”. We feel it is our time to “return”.
