Business Plan Template

This section is designed to help you write a business plan. For many, this is a formidable task. The consultants at the Sandhills branch of SCORE want to make it easier.

Go to the link designated below to open the template most suited for you. The documents offer ready-made, easy-to-use formats. Microsoft’s Word and Excel have been used so that they will be compatible with most word processing programs. That means that you can change the typeface, size, add colors, your own logo, or whatever you want to do to personalize your business plan.

The options available to you can be downloaded by following the simple instructions. Then you will have the item on your computer and you can use it with ease. Click on the following BUSINESS PLAN TEMPLATES

YOUR BUSINESS PLAN

An effective Business Plan is concise and to the point. It should succinctly lay out the details of your venture and not get bogged down in fancy charts or lengthy discussions. To assist you in this approach a sample plan has been developed for SCORE and approved by local bankers.

NOTE: Financial statements for the sample Business Plan are not included. For any Business Plan the financial statements are essential. They include pro forma presentations of:

  • Balance Sheet (at start-up)
  • Income Projection for 12 months
  • Income Statement for 12 months
  • Cash Flow Statement for 12 months
  • Breakeven Analysis

Contact your Sandhills SCORE counselor for these items.
