Tax Planning For A Small Business
TBD
Registration FREE (see below)
The small business we have in mind is yours ! You derive your income from the business; you very likely have medical insurance under the banner of the business; you hopefully have a retirement plan under the business. In short, you and your family’s interests are intertwined with those of the business. Minimizing tax generated by the business is always an important objective. But many other issues need to be considered when planning your business’s tax obligations.
Examples of areas demanding attention:
- Effect of cash vs. accrual methods of accounting
- Family on the payroll
- Real estate issues, e.g. rental
- Retirement planning (SEP, 401k, spouse, Roth)
- S Corp – distribution vs. salary
